Lifetime of Love
Poem by Shadow Summit
Long were the days
I lived in a haze
Where my love was true
The days when I loved you
~
Short were the months
Learning our different strengths
I longed to be in your arms
And wonder at your charms
~
Many were the years
Where your words reached my ears
When our kisses were sweet
And they make our hearts beat
~
Gone is the lifetime
Where you were mine
In my heart there an empty space
That longs for your warm embrace
Almost Home
Sea Chant by Shadow Summit
We’ve sailed home
From a long trip
My hair hasn’t seen a comb
And it needs a snip
~
But my darlin’
She’s a waitin’ for me
Yeah I can see her smilin’
While staring at the sea
~
Almost home
Almost home
The ship is anchored
And we’re coming home
Hey guys!
Today’s post was two poems/songs from my novel Sorrow’s Blade. The first is a classic Love Ballad with a sad twist and then the last is a sea chant that many seamen use.
You are all awesome!

These were wonderful! I loved them both =) The first one almost reminded me of Clash of Tides.
